果冻传媒 (果冻传媒) recently welcomed the Toyota Boston Region Female Technician Roundtable to its auto shop, celebrating the achievements and growth of women in the automotive industry.
A standout moment was the unveiling of new uniforms designed specifically for female technicians鈥攁 symbol of equality and inclusivity in the field. Attendees engaged in discussions about Toyota鈥檚 career growth pathways, which encompass e-learning modules, instructor-led classes, ASE certifications, and recognition for tenure.
On the second day, Joe Myers from Toyota presented his 鈥淩espect for People鈥 program, highlighting the importance of nurturing a professional and inclusive work environment. Participants also shared valuable insights on employee retention, emphasizing the need for fair treatment and acknowledgment of long-serving technicians.
Looking ahead, Toyota plans to expand this initiative with a third event in May, aiming to host a larger conference by September 2025 to further support the increasing presence of women in the automotive industry. The Toyota Boston Region is proud to contribute to the vibrant community these talented women have established and remains dedicated to their personal and professional development.
鈥淚 am very thankful to be a part of these fantastic events fostering the personal and professional growth of female technicians. The group has been able to come up with so many actionable items, and I look forward to helping more women confidently pursue careers in automotive!鈥 said Kim Stevenson, 果冻传媒 faculty, T-TEN.
